Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace Christmas Tree Photo Contest – Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility: This contest is open to legal residents of Louisiana, U.S. who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace and their immediate family members are not eligible to place in the finals or win any prizes. Even if your entry isn’t eligible to win, we’d still love to see your beautifully decorated Christmas trees!
   
   
2. Agreement to Terms: By participating in this contest, entrants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
   
   
3. Contest and Open Submission Periods: The contest begins on November 29th at 9am and ends on December 24th at 3pm CST. The open submission period begins on November 29th and ends on December 18th. Entries submitted before or after the open submission period will not be eligible.
   
   
4. How to Enter:
   • To enter, participants must decorate a Christmas tree.
   • Take a photo of your decorated tree.
   • Find the designated contest post on the Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace’s Facebook Page.
   • Submit your photo as a comment on the contest post.
   • Like the designated contest post
   • Like & Follow the Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace page
   • Include a brief description of your tree and its theme (optional).
   • Share the contest post with your friends (optional)
     
     
5. Entry Guidelines:
   • One entry per person.
   • The photo must be your original work and must not infringe on the rights of any third party. This includes the use of artificial intelligence tools, stock photo image galleries, etc. 
   • Photo must be of a tree in your home / residential space. Trees decorated for clients, businesses, or other entities are not eligible to win this contest.
   • Photos must not contain any offensive, inappropriate, or copyrighted content.
   • All entries and any other posts related to this contest must strictly adhere to the community guidelines of Facebook and its parent company Meta.
   • Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not meet these guidelines.
     
     
6. Prizes:
   • 10 finalist winners will receive a prize amount based on finalist placement in the form of  Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace gift cards.
   • Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
   • Prizes in order of finalist contest placement are as follows:
     1. First Place: $2,500 Louisiana Nursery Gift Card
     2. 2nd Place: $1,000 Louisiana Nursery Gift Card
     3. 3rd Place: $500 Louisiana Nursery Gift Card
     4. 4th Place – 10th Place: $50 Louisiana Nursery Gift card (each)
        
        

1. Winner Selection:
   • Winners will be judged according to the many characteristics listed in the contest post (Beauty, Vibrancy, Cohesiveness, Uniqueness, Ornaments, Lights, Pics, Tree Toppers, and Ribbon-Work). Between December 18th (end of open submission period) and December 20th, judges will rank submissions and select the top 10 submissions for the finals.
   • With 10 finalist submissions selected, these winners will get confirmation via a reply to their submission on facebook from Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace. Their original submission photo will be reposted in a contest finals facebook post from Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace. 
   • On the contest finals facebook post, the number of interactions for each photo will be counted as votes and tallied until the contest ends on December 24th at 3pm CST. Winners will be announced once the contest ends. The finalist submission with the most votes gets the first place prize, the second most votes gets the second place prize, and the third most votes gets the third place prize. All other finalists (4th place – 10th place) will receive a $50 gift card prize.
     
     
2. Winner Notification:
   • Open submission finalists notification 
     1. Open submission winners will be notified via a comment on their winning submission and a private message on Facebook within 2 days of the open submission end date (December 18th).
     2. If a winner does not respond within 24 hours of the notification, they will forfeit the finalist spot and a new finalist will be selected. 
   • Finalist winners notification
     1. Finalist Winners will be notified via a separate facebook post, with the winning facebook accounts tagged in order of contest placement, within 7 days of the contest end date (December 24th). 
3. Publicity: By participating, entrants grant Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace the right to use their name, likeness, and submitted photo in any and all media for promotional purposes without further compensation.
   
   
4. Release and Indemnification: By participating, entrants release and hold harmless Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with the contest or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize. 
   
   
5. Disputes: Any disputes arising from this contest will be governed by the laws of the state of Louisiana, U.S.
   
   
6. Facebook Disclaimer: This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook.
   
   
7. Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace’s Rights: Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest at any time for any reason. Louisiana Nursery: Home & Garden Showplace also reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates these Terms and Conditions or tampers with the entry or voting process.
