Introduction to Orchids with Gina Kennedy
June 4, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Orchids are the most diverse family of flowers on earth, but even experienced gardeners can find them intimidating. Their blooms are so intricate, their roots are totally visible as they crawl out the pot…and the pot! How does this hold water? Or soil??
Don’t over-think it! Orchid care is just as easy as any other plant, all you need is some guidance to get started. Our intro class will cover types of orchids, selecting a healthy orchid, orchid pots, care, and common issues with their treatments. To wrap up, we’ll open the floor to Q&A and an extra hour of shopping through the garden center!
Time: June 4th, 6pm-7pm
Location: 13121 Coursey Blvd, Baton Rouge
Guest Speaker: Gina Kennedy
Gina is the houseplant expert of our Coursey store. She has years of experience caring for a beautifully maintained selection and crafting living displays for customer inspiration. When Gina isn’t busy with plants, she’s refreshing chalk-art for a brand new season.
