Christmas Tree Guide

Every year customers come to our stores looking for the tree that fits their needs best. Large ornaments and jumpy pets may change what you are in the market for compared to a smaller ornaments and wraps. Whether you are looking for fresh cut, flocked, or reusable trees, Louisiana Nursery has got you covered.

Our Christmas Tree Variety Guide, lots of useful tips for families & decorators🎄🎅
• Fraser Fir: The most popular and iconic Christmas tree we sell. Frasers have medium length, blue-green needles with silvery undersides. They have excellent needle retention and stiff branches, great for holding ornaments. Frasers also have a distinct, pleasant scent to them. This is a classic tree, checks all the boxes, and is typically less expensive.
• Noble Fir: A very formal looking tree, nobles have short, blue-green needles. They have the best needle retention of any tree we sell, and stiff branches that are perfect for even especially large ornaments. A higher end tree, perfect for those that love going all-out on decorations, and sheds the least amount of needles.
• Nordmann Fir: Nordmann features the darkest needles of the bunch, and has excellent needle retention. The branches grow in a sort of layered fashion, giving open space for decorations like ribbons and large ornaments. It also has very little fragrance, so sensitive noses may see that as a bonus. Nordmann’s have grown in popularity, offer a uniquely dark color to their foliage, and are another great pick for decoration lovers.
• Douglas Fir: Another classic choice, the Douglas fir is densely packed with light green needles. It also has one of, if not THE strongest scents of all our Christmas trees. Because of the dense foliage and thin branches, customers would do best to use light-weight decorations. Douglas firs smell great, offer a uniquely bright color, and are the least expensive tree we offer. They tend to be the trees we get the latest in the season.
All tree varieties (except Douglas Fir) will be available flocked. We especially love flocked Noble firs & Nordmann firs… so pretty!

Besides that, flocked trees and artificial ones are still great options in higher demand every single year.

I cannot wait to see what choices you all make for your tree this year!
